The elementary faculty at Shiloh considers it a privilege to work with your children, helping them develop in mind, body and spirit.The elementary school offers a strong academic program that nurtures curious and interactive learners who thrive and excel academically, spiritually, and emotionally. Our program is grounded on the solid foundation of Christian teaching and Christ-like character development. With our small class sizes we are able to provide individual attention that encourages our students to reach their full potential.

Emily Flach – Kindergarten Teacher
Emily Flach is from the Bismarck area, and attended Bismarck High School. After high school, she continued her education at Minot State University. She has been teaching for seven years the last two at Shiloh. When she’s not teaching, Emily is busy spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Jackie Montgomery – Kindergarten Teacher
Jackie Montgomery spent her college years at Dickinson State University. Jackie has been teaching for over 13 years and has taught most of those years at Shiloh. Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter and the family dog Snowflake. When she is not with her family, she enjoys reading and scrapbooking the family memories.

Nancy Kindsvogel – 4th Grade Teacher
Nancy Kindsvogel graduated from the University of Mary and has been teaching over 11 years at Shiloh. Nancy has been married for over 30 years and enjoys the time she spends with her husband, their two children, their granddaughter and of course the family dogs.She and her husband love working together on projects around the home and she likes making beautiful stained glass.

Darla Torgerson – 1st Grade Teacher
Darla Torgerson went to high school just across the North Dakota border in Wibaux, Montana. After Darla completed her high school studies, she continued her education at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. When she is not helping her students succeed, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 26 years, their sons and the family pets. In her down time, Darla also enjoys traveling and curling up with a good book!

Neva Glasser – 2nd Grade Teacher
Neva Glasser graduated from Hazen High School and then attended North Dakota State University, University of North Dakota and University of Mary. Neva moved to Bismarck in 1988 to be closer to family. Neva feels that teaching at Shiloh allows her to embrace her passions and use her gift of teaching and being able to instill Christian principles. In her time off, she likes to walk the family dog Mickey, fish, read, watch movies, scrapbook and spend time with her family.

Karen Backman – 3rd Grade Teacher
Karen Backman attended the University of Mary and has been teaching at Shiloh for more than 21 years. She enjoys teaching, and during her time off likes spending time with her husband, their four children and six grandchildren.

April Wahl – 3rd Grade Teacher
April graduated from the University of Mary in 2008. She has a passion for youth and shows that through her coaching the Shiloh Girl's Basketball team. April is a youth leader at her church and spends her past time with her husband and the youth.

Julie Seifert – 5th Grade Teacher
Julie Seifert is originally from Bismarck. She attended St. Mary’s High School and then continued on at Bismarck State College and finished her degree at Valley City State University. Julie and her husband spent time in Bullhead City, Arizona, where she taught for four years. They moved back to Bismarck after the birth of their first child in 2002. Julie taught at Immanuel Christian School in Bismarck for one year and then the Lord took her on a new journey. For 5 years she’s taught on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. The Lord put it on her heart to make another change. He opened the doors at Shiloh and has embraced not only her as a teacher, but also her family into the Shiloh community in 2009. When Julie isn’t busy at Shiloh, she enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her husband, their four children and the family dog JC.

Brian Marcus – 6th Grade Teacher
Brian grew up in west central Minnesota and graduated from BDRSH High School in Renville, MN. He received his bachelors degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA.
Since the age of 5 Brian has been singing solos in church, for weddings, and other special occasions. In addition to singing solo, He enjoys singing as part of choirs or with the praise team in church. When Brian is not singing, he thoroughly enjoys playing all types of sports, with golf and basketball at the top of the list! Brian also values spending quality time with his wife and children. Brian's wife Mindy is the administrator of the Good Samaritan Society – Bismarck. They have two daughters, Madison, age 5, and Kennedy, age 3. Both of whom attend Shiloh.
Years teaching: Brian began his teaching career in a 7th and 8th grade combined classroom at Inwood Christian School in Inwood, IA and taught there for 4 years. He spent 2 years as the 5th grade homeroom teacher and 6th grade social studies in Bloomfield, NE. He also was the junior high PE instructor at both schools.

Jolynn Keller – Elementary Music Teacher
Jolynn Keller is originally from southeast South Dakota. She attended high school in Bridgewater, South Dakota and continued her education at Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri and Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. Jolynn and her family moved from Rapid City to Bismarck in 1986. Once in Bismarck, Jolynn joined the teaching staff at Shiloh. When she is not in the classroom, Jolynn enjoys reading, listening to music, watching movies and spending time with her husband, their two children and her grandchildren.

Raylene Alexander – Elementary Tutor
Raylene Alexander graduated from Moorhead State University. She’s worked as an elementary aide and an elementary teacher; home schooled her two daughters, and is now a tutor here at Shiloh. She loves what she does and feels that individual attention with a student who may be struggling can help them master a concept and feel success. In her down time, Raylene enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She also enjoys crafts, creating things by sewing, knitting or crocheting and being active in the outdoors.

Aric Lee – Physical Education/Health Teacher
Aric Lee is from Minot and attended Bishop Ryan high school. He continued his education and graduated from Minot State University. Whitney Faul is originally from Harvey, North Dakota. She graduated from Harvey High School and continued her education at the University of Mary. Among her many interests are music, sports, exercise, cooking, baking, reading, sewing and hanging out with family and friends.
