Shiloh's Admissions Policy

The following criteria have been established for family admission to Shiloh Christian School:

1. Submit a completed Application for Admission with a $50 application fee.

2. Have a pastor from the church of which you are a member complete the Pastor’s Recommendation form and return it to Shiloh.
3. Have a friend or acquaintance complete the Confidential Recommendation Form for Friends and Acquaintances. If possible, the person recommending should be a past or present member of the Shiloh Christian School family and should know your family well.
4. Have the Principal or Counselor from the Student's most recent school complete the School Recommendation form and return it to Shiloh.
5. Participate in a personal interview for parents. Students in grades 7-12 may be requested as a part of the interview as well.

6. Students entering Kindergarten will need to take a Kindergarten Readiness Test (KRT).

7. Academic records will be reviewed. Shiloh requests a copy of your child's last report card, standardized test scores, and any individualized or IEP plans to assure we are able to meet your child's needs.

8. Students in grades K-8 may be asked to take a STAR Reading and STAR Math test in order to help Shiloh assess your child's current ability level prior to acceptance. STAR tests are computerized tests that will need to be arranged with the principal. Grades 9-12 may be requested to take a STAR Reading or STAR Math test as needed.

Parent Commitment (Grades K-12): One parent or guardian must be a committed Christian and be in agreement with the policies of the school, the Mission Statement, the Statement of Purpose and the Declaration of Faith.

Student Commitment (Grades 7-12): The student must be in agreement with the policies of the school, the Mission Statement, the Statement of Purpose, and the Declaration of Faith. The student will signify this agreement by signing the Student Covenant.

Students must give evidence of potential academic success in the school’s program, have a satisfactory behavior record, and give evidence of emotional stability.
