North Dakota tax law offers tax credits to business’s that contribute to private education
Businesses in ND can take a 50% tax credit for contributions to private education. The credit is available to partnerships and corporations (both S & C corps, LLC & LLP).
A contribution of $5,000 can result in a tax deduction for state and federal purposes, plus a 50% tax credit on the North Dakota tax return. The credit is limited to the lesser of $2500 or 20% of the tax.
A $5,000 gift to Shiloh could save you $4,000 or more in taxes. There is a separate credit for Private K-8 and for Private High Schools. Thus you can double the tax benefit by giving to each Shiloh Elementary School and Shiloh High School.
Check with your tax advisor or call Laurie Eisenbeis, Shiloh Development Director, at 221-2104 ext. 136 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
